AGAOF Exhibition

Overview

The exhibition was designed to evoke a sense of home, drawing inspiration from memories of my grandmother's house. I wanted visitors to feel as though they had stepped into someone's home, a warm, familiar space that invited them to pause, explore, and connect with the stories behind the cookbook. By incorporating patterns from A Good Amount of Flour and a refined color palette, the exhibition creates a cohesive visual experience that reflects and extends the cookbook's aesthetic.

For the exhibition, I decided to work with a more limited color palette. I worked with three colors to coordinate with the book cover.

The wallpaper, designed to look like a quilt, utilized all of the shapes used to create the boarder of the cookbook. Since quilts inspired a key aspect of the book design, I thought it would be nice to include that imagery in a more literal way.

The photowall was inspired by my grandmother’s house. Every wall in her house used to be covered in pictures, and I wanted to recreate a piece of that in the exhibition.

It was really important that my exhibition to felt like a home, warm and inviting. For the place settings, I wanted to pick colors and textures that would go well with the wallpaper.
